Kinopravda Institute is proud to announce the North American debut of Želimir Žilnik’s new film, Eighty Plus (Restitucija, ili, San i java stare garde), scheduled for early January 2026, with screenings confirmed to be held in Toronto and New York.
Audiences in Canada will be treated to the North American premiere of Žilnik’s film at the Toronto International Film Festival on 7-8 January, where it will be presented as part of its critically acclaimed TIFF Wavelengths program. Greg de Cuir, Kinopravda Institute’s Artistic Director, will be attending and participating as guest curator.
The Toronto presentation will be immediately followed by the US premiere, with screenings at the Anthology Film Archives, as part of a program showcasing some of the highlights from this year’s edition of Doclisboa. The film will be screened on 9 and 11 January, with a post-screening Q&A session between the filmmaker and Boris Nelepo from Doclisboa.
