Isidora Ilić talks of resistance to corruption at EMAF

April 3rd 2026

This year’s edition of the European Media Art Festival (EMAF), held under the name Incomplete Assembly, will – through a broad range of events that encompasses talks, exhibitions, film programs, performances and workshops lasting from April 22 to 26 – explore what discourses and narratives institutions enable and which ones they overlook, deliberately or otherwise.

Among the plethora of artists who are participating in EMAF 2026, Isidora Ilić of Doplgenger is going to hold a talk with guests that fits thematically into the overarching conceptual framework of the festival. Drawing on inspiration from her fellow artists, Isidora Ilić will share her insights on the anti-government demonstrations that have been unfolding in Serbia since November 2024 in response to rampant corruption and mismanagement.

Isidora Ilić is – together with Boško Prostran – part of the artist duo Doplgenger that, through a research-oriented approach, delves into the relation between art and politics, contemplating the regimes of moving images and their modes of perception.
